Education and Libraries Community Service Program

We aim to help others while we also continue to learn. Projects in the Education and Libraries Community Service Program are designed to foster schools, as well as other educational institutions and opportunities. These projects promote libraries, literacy, and the love of a good book. Through these efforts, we encourage the growth of individuals and communities at home and worldwide.

Tellico Village club members participate in the following activities:

• Student mentoring and tutoring of “at-risk” children
• Weekend Food 4 Kids for elementary school children
• Book and school supply donations to local schools
• Appreciation baskets to local schools for teachers and staff
• Participating in the little lending libraries set up by the Tellico Village library
• Assisting the Library with several volunteer needs throughout the year
• Volunteer at the library – desk duties, Board member, publicity
